Steve WygodaShlomo S. Wygoda, R.A.
President & Founder, SWA Architecture PLLC

Mr. Wygoda is a registered architect in New York, with more than 40 years of experience in architecture and design construction. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the City University of New York, and is an affiliated member of the National Council of Historical Preservation, and the American Society of Military Engineers. He has worked extensively in New York City and the greater Metro, including his work with the New York City Planning Commission to rezone Far Rockaway, Queens. For his commercial work along Northern Boulevard in Queens, Mr. Wygoda received a Queens Chamber of Commerce Award. His projects range in size and purpose, including correctional facilities, schools and the New York City transit system. Mr. Wygoda’s work has been featured in The New York Times, the New York Post, Wall Street Journal, New York magazine, and several national publications. He was also given special mention in the American Institute of Architects Justice Facilities Annual Review.  He has served as an Adjunct Associate Professor of Architecture at New York University, and is currently writing a book based on his design of more than 500 of New York City’s sidewalk cafes.

Sergio AliSergio Ali,  
Senior Associate, SWA Architecture PLLC

Mr. Ali is a senior associate at SWA Architecture with more than 14 years of experience in architecture and design construction. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture at New York Institute of Technology, and has worked on both residential and commercial projects. Mr. Ali has a solid background in design projects for schools, non-profit shelters and multifamily developments, as well as restaurants, retail stores, and office developments.



Rossana Wygoda,
Head, Sidewalk Café Group

Ms. Rossana Wygoda is the head of our sidewalk café group with more than 13 years of experience in this field. This division has steadily grown under her supervision with over 700 licensed sidewalk cafes. SWA Architecture has developed and maintained a full understanding of all City agencies' rules and regulations. Her communication skills has enabled SWA to maintain pro-active close relations with all local community board throughout New York City. Several publications, including the New York Times, The New York Post and Cranes Business have written articles related to SWA's sidewalk café projects.
